Counseling and Psychotherapy

The MSU Counseling Center provides a safe place for individuals to talk with a professional about problems which might interfere with personal growth and academic achievement. Through individual counseling, students can learn to express themselves more fully, work toward greater self-understanding, and experience themselves as happier and more productive people. Students of every age and academic level come to the Counseling Center and receive help dealing with a broad range of concerns. Some of these concerns include:

  • Depression and other mood disturbances
  • Anxiety
  • Eating Disorders
  • Substance Abuse
  • Identity Issues
  • *ADHD behavioral strategies
  • Many others

*Please note that evaluations to determine if an individual is ADHD is not offered by the MSU Counseling Center
