Fees and Billing

Office visits are submitted to your insurance. The clinic works to provide medical services to students at little to no cost, but students will be solely responsible, however, for any prescription co-pays. The clinic staff works to prescribe any necessary medications of the highest and most effective quality, but of the lowest possible price. If pricing concerns occur, we will do our best to work with the student in prescribing new therapy in a reachable price range. Students will be seen, regardless of ability to pay at the time of their appointment. However any balances will be billed to the student and payment is expected within three statements. Please call the clinic at 783-2055 if you have further questions or to make appointments.

What you need to bring: 

  • Copy of your insurance card
  • Cardholder's name and address, date of birth and last four digits of social security number (for example, if your mother's name is on the card, we will need her birthday and the last four digits of her social)


For individuals covered under private, in-network insurance plans: visits will be submitted to your insurance company.
  • Co-pays will be expected at the time of service, consistent with usual and customary practices in primary care clinics.
    • Co-insurance and deductibles will be billed to the student.
    • After three statements or failure to make payment arrangements, a hold will be placed on the student’s University account, consistent with other balances due to the University.
  • Medical and counseling self-pay office visit: $20
    • Self-pay individuals also includes students not covered by a participating insurance. A sliding scale fee application will be completed at the initial visit, with proof of income required.
    • Additional fees for laboratory, immunizations, or procedures may also apply based on treatment.

International Students

International Insurance is mandatory for all international students. Insurance that is domiciled in the student’s home country and meets the minimum requirements of the University will be accepted. International students without insurance that meet the requirements will need to purchase the insurance offered by the University.
