MSU will only provide “COVID-19 excused absences” for students diagnosed with COVID-19 through a CLIA-approved lab test (PCR or Antigen test administered by a test site or healthcare provider). All other circumstances will be governed by UAR 131 Excused Absence Policy.
A. Sick or COVID-19 symptoms
- Absences are only excused in accordance with the MSU Excused Absence Policy.
- The student must provide medical documentation (e.g., doctor’s note) to substantiate the excuse.
- If the student subsequently tests positive for COVID-19 via a test administered through a COVID test site or healthcare provider, then go to C.

- Absences are only excused in accordance with the MSU Excused Absence Policy. Medical documentation (e.g., doctor’s note) is required to substantiate an excused absence.
