TAU OMEGA EPSILON

If you have declared an area of concentration in English with a secondary teaching certification, you are eligible to join Tau Omega Epsilon: Teachers of English.

As a member of Tau Omega Epsilon you will be encouraged to contribute to community education and service projects through events such as Angel Tree toy drives and food drives for area schools’ Family Resource Centers.  Members also serve as volunteers at events to support reading and writing activities in area schools.

Tau Omega Epsilon also offers you opportunities for peer mentoring and group advising to help enhance your progress through program coursework and career options. And during your senior year, you and other members of Tau Omega Epsilon will each be provided with opportunities to attend the annual professional meetings of the state and national Councils of Teachers of English.
