Scholarships

The Department of Kinesiology, Health and Imaging Sciences offers several scholarships to students with merit and financial need. The Online Scholarship Application opens Nov. 1 of each year. Application deadlines vary for each scholarship.

Kinesiology and Health

Eddie Bishop Memorial Scholarship-Physical Education major, African-American male priority with a minimum GPA of 2.0.

Robert and Helen Holbrook Memorial Scholarship- To support scholarships for MSU students, preferably from Rowan County and preferably majoring in a health profession. No student receiving athletically-related financial aid shall be eligible. Recipients must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.

Warren and Winifred Proudfoot Memorial Scholarship- To support scholarships to pre-health professionals such as nursing, pre-medicine students and other health-related fields. Recipients shall be from Rowan and contiguous counties in Kentucky. Recipients shall also be financially eligible as determined by the Office of Financial Aid.

C. Louise Caudill Scholarship for Women- Female students wishing to enter the profession of medicine or a career in health, physical education or sport sciences. The recipients shall be unconditionally admitted for study at MSU.

Dr. Mohammed Sabie Memorial Scholarship- To support a scholarship for undergraduate students from Eastern Kentucky pursuing a physical education degree.

Imaging Sciences

Barbara Dehner Scholarship- The Barbara Dehner Scholarship is awarded to full-time MSU students from Elliott County, Kentucky who are accepted into one of the imaging science programs.

C. Louise Caudill Nursing Scholarship- Recipients should be majoring in nursing or an allied health field with preference given to students from the University's service region.

C. Louise Caudill Scholarship for Women- Female students wishing to enter the profession of medicine or a career in health, physical education or sport sciences. The recipients shall be unconditionally admitted for study at MSU.

The application deadline for all Imaging Sciences Scholarships is the last Monday in November. Scholarship awards are applied to recipient’s financial aid accounts for the Spring Semester only.
