What to do if you may have been exposed to COVID-19

If you think you may have been exposed or have questions about COVID-19, please email

  • Watch for symptoms. The following symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure.  
    • Fever 
    • Cough 
    • Shortness of Breath 
If you develop symptoms AND you have been in close contact with a person known to have COVID-19 or live in or have recently traveled from an area with ongoing spread of COVID-19, then seek medical advice. Call ahead before you go to a doctor’s office, emergency room, or the university clinic. Tell them about your recent travel and your symptoms. Counseling & Health Services is in Allie Young Hall 112 and is open, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The clinic is closed daily from 12 to 1 p.m. The phone number is 606-783-2055.
