  • MSU was awarded Silver Bike Friendly University Bicycle by the League of American Bicyclists in Fall 2016. MSU has two bicycle fix-it stations, bicycle racks throughout campus, offers bicycle repair and safety clinics and rents bicycles through the Outdoor Adventure Program.
  • MSU Facilities is working on a bike share program with Gotcha Bikes and installing bike sharrows on campus streets.

  • MSU Facilities continues to replace old fleet with new campus buses and fleet cars that are more fuel-efficient. Facilities staff utilize several electric vehicles to get around campus.
  • MSU Facilities operates a free shuttle van service on campus.
  • MSU Facilities utilizes garbage compactors to minimize garbage truck trips to the landfill.
  • MSU Housing coordinates Move-In Day to reduce long lines and idling cars.
  • MSU Athletics and other departments utilize golf carts for transportation on campus.
