What MSU means to me
MSU means home to me. Since the first day I stepped on this campus, it’s always felt like my home away from home.
Favorite MSU tradition
Homecoming – I’ve not missed one in 20 years!
Favorite building on campus
The AAC – this is the basketball arena and where graduation takes place
Favorite place to eat on campus
Moe’s or The Rock
Favorite thing to do in the area
Visit Cave Run Lake – find friends with boats!
Favorite downtown restaurant
Pasquale’s – cheese fries and stromboli!
Favorite Don Señor order
Carne Asada
Favorite Jimmy John’s order
#5 Vito with extra sauce and extra hot peppers on the side
Favorite thing to do downtown
Arts & Eats Festival or Hometown Holidays are fun weekend events. Also enjoy trying the different food trucks – can never go wrong with the food trucks!
My advice for seniors
Work hard and do plenty of research on what you think you want to major in. Job-shadow to see if that career is something you want to do the rest of your life.
Advice to students selecting a college
Do research to see if your academic program is offered at the school. Visit your top 5 campuses. Ask questions while on your visit and to your admission counselor throughout the year. Be truthful with yourself when making your decision – ask yourself does this place feel like my new home for the next four years?
