The Art Leadership Scholarship is offered to entering freshman art majors. Applicants must submit a portfolio of work to be reviewed at the annual High School Art Day event.
Required Application Portfolio:
- Portfolio of 8 to 10 art pieces completed within the last 2 years (include examples of more than one medium; Digital portfolios must include a list of art works and media)
- Two Letters of recommendation, one of which should be from an art teacher or other teacher familiar with your work
- Written statement of your reasons for wanting to major in art at MSU (attach to application)
- High school transcript
- Completed application form
Applicants must bring their portfolio, completed application and required materials to High School Art Day at Claypool-Young Art Building. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
