Dr. Rebecca Roach

Roach is an Assistant Professor and P5 Coordinator for the Department of Early Childhood, Elementary, and Elementary Education in the Volgenau College of Education at Morehead State University where she teaches courses in literacy.  She earned her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Kentucky, a MA in International Development from Ohio University, and a B.S. in Education from Morehead State University.  She is a former elementary teacher and international education consultant.  Fulfilling her lifelong commitment to service, she has served in AmeriCorps, AmeriCorps VISTA, and the United States Peace Corps.  She currently serves as the Morehead State Director for the Kentucky Reading Project, the President of the Bluegrass Chapter of the Kentucky Reading Association and the Coeditor of Literacy Teaching and Learning.  Her research interests include literacy and educational leadership.
