Dr. McLaren has worked in the field of early childhood education in a variety of roles including assistant teacher, lead teacher, professional development trainer, and faculty member. She serves as the IECE, IECE MAT, and Child Development program coordinator.  In her faculty role Dr. McLaren teaches undergraduate and graduate early childhood courses, supervises student teachers, coordinates international service learning programs for MSU students, and partners with state agencies to provide professional development for early childhood educators.  In her free time Dr. McLaren enjoys reading, hiking, traveling and spending time with her husband and young daughter.
