Lynda N. Donathan has been employed at Morehead State University since 2005. Currently, she serves as an associate professor in the Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Leadership in Medical Imaging and is the CTMR program coordinator. Prior to coming to MSU, she served as a professor and program director for 11 years and a clinical coordinator for one year at Central Kentucky Technical College in Lexington. 
Donathan has earned three degrees from Morehead State University: a Master of Science in vocational and industrial education with a certificate of administration supervision and coordination in vocational education; a bachelor's degree in University Studies and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Radiologic Technology. She is certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in radiography, mammography, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging; is a certified medical assistant with the American Association of Medical Assistants. She is also a Quality Matters master  and peer reviewer.

Donathan is a member of local, state and national professional organizations. Service to these organizations includes appointment to the Association of Educators in Imaging and Radiologic Sciences Scholarship Committee. She has published and made presentations with an emphasis on online learning. She is a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists and the Association of Educators in Imaging and Radiologic Sciences.
