Carrie Barnett obtained her nursing degree from Kentucky State University in 2001.  Upon completion of her associate degree in nursing (ADN), she worked as an Oncology/OB GYN Medical Surgical Nurse.  She earned her BSN degree at Eastern Kentucky University in 2009 and her MSN from Walden University. She is currently enrolled in the Ph.D. program at Walden’s University.  

She has taught both in the clinical setting as well as the classroom.  In addition to teaching at MSU, Barnett works PRN on the Medical Surgical Unit at Clark Regional Hospital.   

When she is not busy teaching, researching, or working as a nurse, she spends her time playing with her eight (soon to be nine) grandchildren.
