Hill started her nursing career as a labor and delivery/women’s care RN for three years. She also has two years experience in the long-term care setting as a staff development coordinator where she was in charge of education, infection control for the facility and served on the quality improvement team. She worked at the University of Kentucky as a trauma and surgical services registered nurse three years. Before accepting a position as an instructor of nursing, Hill taught clinical classes for the associate and baccalaureate nursing programs at Morehead State University. She is an alumna of Morehead State University who completed her BSN in 2014. Hill graduated in May 2019 with her MSN with a concentration in rural health family nurse practitioner. She is currently enrolled in the Post-MSN Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program at Eastern Kentucky University with an anticipated graduation date of May 2021. She hopes to help reduce mental health care disparities in Eastern Kentucky and bring awareness and education to the nursing profession related to mental health care.
