Engineering Technology - Design and Manufacturing Engineering Technology - Bachelor of Science

Program Info
Our nation is continually improving the productivity and quality of its manufactured goods. As a Design & Manufacturing Engineering Technology graduate, students will be prepared to work effectively as a supervisor or manager in a manufacturing company and to fully understand the many aspects of the manufacturing process. The high-quality instruction students will gain in basic control systems, computer-aided drafting (CAD), industrial safety, quality control, and management will be invaluable as they begin their career.

Because robotics is such a vital part of today's industry, students will learn the fundamentals of robotics in systems engineering, interfacing, and applications. Morehead State University's Department of Industrial Technology has a modern 4,500-square foot manufacturing lab complete with educational and industrial production robots and a state-of-the-art Computer Integrated Manufacturing cell. Not only will students understand the theory behind how robots
and automation are programmed to meet industry's specific needs, but they will also learn maintenance, installation, and operation of these systems.

The Engineering Technology Bachelor Degree program within the Department of Applied Engineering and Technology is accredited by the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE).
