FACULTY SPOTLIGHT

Music Faculty, Director of Bands "The music program at Morehead State is exceptional. We have exemplary faculty with a passion for teaching and performing. Our program is very demanding and comes with high expectations. In return, students receive the finest in preparation for successful careers. It should be noted that we have had close to 100% employment of our music education graduates in the past twenty-five years – an unheard of employment record. We work for and with YOU."

How to Apply

  1. Apply for admission to Morehead State University online. All students are strongly encouraged to apply early. You may audition before you are admitted to the University. However, music entrance and scholarship decisions will be determined only after you been accepted to the University.  This form also serves as your application for aid from the University.
    • Kentucky placement testing requirements in English, Math and Reading

  2. Complete the online Music Admission and Scholarship Application Form.  You will schedule your audition on this form.  If you cannot appear for an audition on any of the designated date, please call or e-mail us to arrange a special audition appointment.

All applicants are strongly urged to apply for other institutional and/or government financial aid opportunities.  Experience shows that students frequently overlook other sources of financial aid or assume ineligibility without receiving an official financial assessment.  We recommend that you contact the MSU Office of Financial Aid at 606.783.2000 for additional information.
