Md Wasif Zaman

Dr. Wasif Zaman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Engineering Sciences at Morehead State University. He earned his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical) from the University of Kansas, where his research focused on transportation geotechnics, including the use of innovative geosynthetics for sustainable geotechnical engineering practice. Dr. Zaman holds an M.S. in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical) from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the Islamic University of Technology, Bangladesh.

With a diverse academic and research background, Dr. Zaman specializes in various aspects of geotechnical engineering, such as geosynthetics, unsaturated soils, pavements, geotechnical instrumentations, and discrete element modeling (DEM). His work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals and has presented at numerous international conferences. At Morehead State, he teaches civil engineering courses while continuing his research in geotechnical engineering. He is also actively involved in mentoring students and contributing to professional organizations.
