FAFSA Completion Workshop
In response to the difficulties in completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), MSU is hosting FAFSA completion workshops in the region.
A workshop takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 23, at the Clay Community Center Computer Lab.
The events are open to the public, and all students and parents who still need to complete the FAFSA are encouraged to attend. MSU admissions and financial aid counselors can answer questions regarding financial aid packages. In addition, MSU will partner with KHEEA (Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority) and TRIO Commonwealth Education Opportunity Center representatives to meet the needs of attendees.
Attendees may need the following information or documents they complete the 2024-25 FAFSA form:
- Your parents’ social security numbers if you are a dependent student (https://studentaid.gov/apply-for-aid/fafsa/filling-out/dependency#dependent-or-independent)
- Tax returns
- Records of child support received
- Current balances of cash, savings, and checking accounts
- Net worth of investments, businesses, and farm
