MSU Faculty Film Screenings
The Department of Communication, Media, Art & Design proudly presents a thrilling evening featuring two captivating films by our very own faculty members!
First up is Steven Middleton’s acclaimed documentary "My Mountain Fiend," which dives into the life of local wrestling icon and personal friend Jonathan R. Wise (a.k.a. JR Roc). This film has wowed audiences at the 2024 Big Sandy Film Festival and the Louisville International Film Festival.
Then, get ready for an exclusive sneak peek of "Oscillate is Dead" by our newest media professor, Matthew Kistenmacher. Set against the backdrop of 1983 Lexington, Kentucky, this gripping tale unfolds the story of a disgraced cop entangled in an equestrian murder cover-up while an injured jockey reimagines his failed prom night.
Stick around after the screenings for an engaging Q&A session with the directors—don’t miss this chance to learn more about the creative minds behind the films!
