New Students: Eagle Lake Trail Hike

🥾 Meet new Eagles and take in the beauty of campus with a refreshing hike around Eagle Lake. 🌳

The hike starts at the tent at Eagle Lake. Be sure to bring a water bottle and wear tennis shoes, hiking boots or hiking sandals AND sunscreen.☀️ The moderate hike is approximately 1 mile. Hikes will start every 30 minutes beginning at 9 a.m. The last hike begins at 10:30 a.m.

Recommended for new students; returning students are welcome. Free t-shirts for new students while supplies last!

Student Activities

MSU offers more than 100 student clubs and organizations. You can explore your interests in everything from politics and social issues to academics, athletics and faith. You can join a fraternity or sorority or perform on the field at halftime with the MSU Marching Band. MSU also offers Tau Sigma and the National Honor Society for Transfer Students.

Student Activities organizes events that attract nationally recognized performers and speakers. Events like Family Weekend, Greek Week and the Homecoming Parade bring together students, their families and alums.
