First-Year Eagles Give Back

Morehead State University will host a campus-wide service event for all first-year students. The event will offer hands-on projects directly benefiting the local community. Students can work alongside community partners, learn about volunteer opportunities, and make a positive impact.

Service activities include making tie blankets for child patients at UK St. Claire, registering to vote, writing thank-you letters to MSU scholarship donors, donating blood, planting flags to remember 9/11 victims, and packing backpacks with school supplies for Rowan County students.

The event will be held on Monday, Sept. 8, and Tuesday, Sept. 9, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the second floor of the Camden-Carroll Library.

This initiative supports course requirements, fulfills grant reporting needs, and fosters a spirit of community engagement among MSU’s newest Eagles.
