Dr. Rancour Research Talk
Morehead State University invites students, faculty and staff to a research presentation by Dr. Brittany Rancour on Wednesday, March 4, at 12:30 p.m. in Rader Hall 102.
Dr. Rancour will discuss her recent publication, “A Singular Woman: The Prioress of Lismullin Convent and her Seal,” which appears in the Journal of the American Society for Irish Medieval Studies. Her talk explores the historical significance of the prioress of Lismullin Convent and the meaning embedded in her seal, shedding light on women’s religious authority and identity in medieval Ireland.
Attendees will also enjoy two vegetarian Indian dishes available during the event. The campus community is encouraged to attend this engaging presentation and discussion.
