Teaching Conference and Celebration

Morehead State University will host its 2026 Faculty Teaching Conference & Celebration on Monday, April 20, in the Adron Doran University Center. The event brings together faculty and teaching staff to share ideas, strategies and research focused on enhancing student learning.

This year’s theme, Student Agency in a Digital World, explores how educators can navigate the challenges and opportunities of technology in the classroom. Sessions will examine topics ranging from the use of artificial intelligence in instruction to strategies for engaging students in non-digital and hybrid learning environments. The conference will also center on a guiding question: Do digital devices lead to passive learning in a college setting?

The conference provides an opportunity for participants to exchange practical approaches, reflect on current trends in higher education and collaborate on ways to empower students to take ownership of their learning.
