Craft Academy for Excellence in Science & Mathematics Graduation 2026
The Craft Academy for Excellence in Science & Mathematics will graduate 100 students in the Class of 2026 at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 9, in the Adron Doran University Center Ballrooms.
The Craft Academy graduation speaker is Ruby Korman. She is the daughter of Rebecca Neels, Kurtis Neels, and Jeffrey Korman, and is a student at Atherton High School in Louisville. Korman will be studying aerospace engineering, with a focus on rocket propulsion systems, at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the fall.
Through her involvement at Morehead State, she has had the opportunity to speak at multiple technical and education conferences as both a technical speaker and a keynote speaker. In these positions, Korman has emphasized the importance of providing accessible educational opportunities for students from pre-K through college. She strongly believes in supporting other students interested in pursuing STEM careers and intends to stay connected to and support the Academy after graduating.
The Craft Academy for Excellence in Science & Mathematics is a residential academy for academically exceptionally gifted high school juniors and seniors. The Craft Academy provides students with a postsecondary residential experience to complete their junior and senior high school years by enrolling in college courses.
