  • A new scholarship benefits students from Eastern KY

KCCCCS County MapIf you are a student from Bell, Floyd, Harlan, Johnson, Knott, Letcher, Magoffin, Martin or Pike County with 60 college credit hours, a new scholarship may help you complete a 4-year degree at MSU at Prestonsburg. The new scholarship program is called the Kentucky Coal County College Completion Scholarship Program and will be available beginning July 1, 2012, to college juniors and seniors, and non-traditional students seeking to complete degrees.

To qualify for KCCCCS at MSU, you must:

  • Be a high school graduate or GED recipient from one of the nine KCCCCS qualifying counties
  • Have completed at least 60 college credits at KCTCS or another public or private institution
  • Be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program
  • Taking at least six credit hours of classes toward a bachelor’s degree at MSU at Prestonsburg (at least 50% of instruction must be face-to-face) - View degrees offered at MSU Prestonsburg 
  • Have tuition expenses remaining after any federal and state aid, including Pell, CAP and KEES, is applied
