Serve KY

Serve KY administers Kentucky’s AmeriCorps national service programs. The commission is a statewide, bipartisan group comprised of 25 members, appointed by the governor, with diverse service and volunteerism backgrounds. Serve KY is located within the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services.

The mission of Serve KY is to engage Kentuckians in volunteerism and service to positively impact our communities. Serve KY engages citizens in community service opportunities that enable volunteers, organizations and businesses to share ideas and effectively collaborate to address Kentucky's needs.

Serve KY supports volunteerism and national service through programs such as Kentucky AmeriCorps, the annual Governor’s Awards for Volunteerism and Service, year-round volunteer recognition program, e-newsletter and encouraging participation in national days of service.

Serve KY funding is provided by AmeriCorps and the Kentucky General Assembly.
