Career Fairs

Career Services offers career fairs every fall and spring to help you connect with our students and alumni seeking internships, co-ops, and full-time jobs. Career fairs are open to all majors. Employers and graduate programs are represented.

Connect with Faculty & Staff

If you’d like to speak to a class in a specific discipline, Career Services can connect you with the right faculty and staff. We also host luncheons, information sessions, and meet-and-greet opportunities to allow employers to network with faculty and staff on campus. Let us know how you’d like to connect.

Help teach workshops or participate in panel discussions for students on topics such as resume writing, interviewing, networking, and much more. The Career Center is always looking for experienced professionals and new topics. Many student organizations are open to having employers present to their members and we are happy to connect you with leaders of student organizations for this purpose.

Co-ops and Internships

Co-operative Education and Internships are professional level experiential education for students to apply classroom theory to real life work situations. Students may do experiential education either as an academic internship in which they earn college credit for working with an employer or as a non-credit internship. Students may not always need academic credit, but would like to earn valuable work experience by utilizing a non-credit internship. Generally, a non-credit internship should be paid, according to Department of Labor standards.

Download MSU's Internship Guide for Employers to learn how to create and manage a successful internship program in your organization.

Access Department of Labor Internship Standards here.
