Sophomore Art Exhibit opens Jan. 29

news-thumb-soph-show.webpThe annual sophomore art exhibit, titled “Works in Progress,” opens Monday, Jan. 29, at the Golding-Yang Art Gallery in the Claypool-Young Art Building.

The exhibit features the work of sophomore art and design students and runs through Thursday, Feb. 15. Paintings, sculpture, drawings, ceramics, digital art and mixed media pieces are represented in the exhibit.

A closing reception will be held Wednesday, Feb. 14, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the gallery.

esign, the Caudill College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, the MSU campus and the community at large. The gallery hosts opening receptions with live music and refreshments, readings and book signings, interdisciplinary events with inter-college and community partnerships, student performances, forums, and workshops. Participatory projects are vital to gallery programming, including live performances and interactive artworks, installations, and mural projects.
