This is a mandatory fee for all students. Several years ago, MSU students voted and received Board of Regents approval to implement a mandatory fee to pay for the construction of a new Recreation & Wellness Center. These fees pay the annual debt service payment for the facility. The Recreation & Wellness Center was completed in 2011, and students will pay the fee until debt service for the facility is paid in full.

These fees off set additional costs incurred to provide online instruction, including software and other technology expenditures.
Our credit card processing company charges MSU processing fees for accepting and processing payments from debit and credit cards. To help cover these costs, MSU charges a 2.85% service fee to accept debit and credit cards.
