Morehead State announces Presidential Community Engaged Eagles

Many Morehead State University students gain valuable real-world experience while giving back to their community through service-learning opportunities. MSU recognized more than 1,000 students on the Presidential Community Engaged Eagles list.

Students named to the Presidential Community Engaged Eagles list participated in service-learning projects throughout MSU's service region during the Fall 2023 semester. This included activities as part of Make an Impact Day.

To qualify for the Presidential Community Engaged Eagles list, students must first participate in a service project or other volunteer activity and then submit a reflection about their experience.

"Morehead State University is proud to have students give back to our service region through hands-on projects that can have a lasting impact," says Dr. Chris Schroeder, interim associate provost. "We believe in the transformative power of education not only to enrich the minds of our students but also to inspire them to become compassionate, socially responsible individuals. Their actions go beyond the pursuit of academic excellence, showcasing a genuine desire to contribute meaningfully to the well-being of others."
