Vice President for Student Affairs
Morehead State University invites applications and nominations for the vice president for academic affairs position.
The position reports directly to MSU President Dr. Jay Morgan. The vice president for student affairs reports directly to the president in fulfilling the charge of effective leadership and administration of the University. The best candidates will have a progressive approach to higher education and a team-oriented approach to leadership of the University.
Application & Nomination Process
To assure optimal consideration, interested parties are encouraged to submit a cover letter outlining their qualifications and vision, a CV, and the names and contact information for five references by October 28, 2025. No references will be contacted without the candidate's approval.
Anticipated Timeline
- October 28, 2025: Deadline for interested applicants for preferred consideration.
- November 11-20, 2025: Anticipated dates for possible virtual preliminary interviews.
- December 1-10, 2025 or January 6-9, 2026: Anticipated dates for top candidates to visit the campus.
Due to the December 31, 2025, retirement of the current vice president for student affairs, it is anticipated that a negotiable start date between January 15, 2026, and July 1, 2026, will be used.
