Advising
MSU is committed to student success, and academic advising is crucial to helping students succeed. Students are assigned an academic advisor to guide their major, and we have professional advising staff in each college to help you navigate your degree plan, course scheduling and other questions you may have. Advisors can meet virtually to assist online students.

What does an Advisor do?
An advisor helps you plan your courses so that you can take the classes you need and graduate on time. They can help you schedule classes, understand your program requirements, and refer you to career planning services. They can help you with tutoring or other options if you're struggling in a class.
