Our program has program tracks for Engineering & Technology and Occupation-based Career & Technical Education. Choosing the Occupation-based Career & Technical Education option will prepare you to work in Career & Technical Education (CTE) programs across Kentucky.

Admission to the industrial education program

Follow the standard undergraduate application process.

Students seeking teacher certification must apply for and be admitted to the Teacher Education Program (TEP). Additionally, to enroll in clinical practice and meet state certification requirements, students must maintain a GPA of 2.75 overall (in all coursework) and professional education courses, with no grade lower than a "C" in professional education courses.

Learn to teach technical courses in areas like construction, information technology education, manufacturing technology, and transportation education. Apply teacher standards to 5-12 engineering and technology education, secondary or postsecondary occupation-based programs. Track emphasis includes economics and manufacturing processes.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS

Apply teacher standards to 5-12 engineering and technology education, secondary or postsecondary occupation-based programs. Track emphasis includes classes in mathematics and technology in occupations, as well as knowledge of related subjects and manipulative skills in occupations.
