Gold, Blue & YOU is MSU's annual faculty and staff giving program. As employees of Morehead State, faculty and staff have an opportunity to directly impact our campus community and students in so many ways.
Your work in the office and classroom is integral to the student experience, but did you know your impact can go a step further through our participation in Gold, Blue and YOU?
Your support in this annual campaign makes a difference in the lives of our students and demonstrates your continued commitment to Morehead State. MSU is known for its family atmosphere and it's become a home to thousands of students and employees.
Giving starts at home — can we count on you?
As faculty and staff at MSU, our mission is to serve our students. Through your participation in Gold, Blue and YOU, you are demonstrating to our students that you're taking your commitment a step further.
Like many other nonprofit institutions, MSU needs the support of individuals to carry out its mission.
Did you know that if we relied solely on tuition dollars alone to carry out operations, we likely wouldn't be able to finish a semester? Private support is critical to closing this gap.
As faculty and staff, you have a front row seat to the impact that gifts can make. You see the student who stayed in school thanks to a scholarship. You see the new piece of equipment in the classroom thanks to the generosity of a donor.
You see the impact — will you be the impact?
You determine the size of your gift according to your own financial capacity and charitable interests. Every gift makes a difference at MSU and your participation is most important.
The minimum amount to give via payroll deduction is $2.50 per pay period.
Some of our faculty and staff support the University with Leadership Annual Gifts. The Circle of Excellence recognizes these individuals who demonstrate a leadership commitment to MSU through annual gifts of $1,000 or more ($83.34 per month).
You decide where to designate your gift! More than 20 percent of faculty and staff choose to make unrestricted gifts to the Fund for Excellence. These gifts provide flexible dollars that meet the greatest needs of the University.
Other contributors may choose to restrict their gifts to a specific department or program while others might support endowments, scholarships, athletics or technology improvements.
You can even give back to your own department!
Payroll deduction is the easiest and most convenient way for many employees to make a gift. You can use the online form to specify the amount you would like automatically deducted from each paycheck (minimum $2.50 per pay period) and where your support should be designated.
Each year, the Office of Alumni Relations and Development will publish an honor roll of donors listing the names of all faculty and staff who have contributed to the campaign in that given year. The amount of your gift(s) will remain confidential.

Several MSU employees have spouses/partners who work here as well; or their spouse/ partner is an alumnus, but not an MSU employee.
You may choose to make your gifts as an individual or as a couple.
