Dr. Heather Beveridge is a small animal general practitioner and assistant professor at Morehead State University. She graduated from North Carolina State University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences with a B.S. in Animal Science in 2009 and then from N.C. State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. After interning as a teaching and research assistant, she entered small animal private practice focusing on small soft tissue, orthopedic surgery, and canine rehabilitation.
After helping to develop a mentorship program for veterinary interns and new graduates, she now focuses on teaching in the veterinary industry and joined Morehead State University College of Science and Engineering in 2023. She is an assistant professor and small animal surgeon in the Veterinary Technology program and advisor for Veterinary Science students interested in careers in the veterinary community.
She is passionate about career development for veterinary nurses and practitioners. She focuses on compassionate patient care while nurturing the client-veterinary relationship, which is essential to successful healthcare for life.
