Bio

Shelby Roberts is an instructor and program coordinator for Agricultural Education at Morehead State University, where she prepares future agricultural educators to lead successful programs in secondary schools and beyond. A proud alumna of Morehead State, Shelby earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education before obtaining a Master’s of Education. She is also a National Board Certified Teacher.

Her passion for agricultural education began in her youth through active involvement in 4-H and FFA, where she showed pigs and served in various leadership roles. She went on to teach both middle school and high school agriculture for eight years, developing hands-on learning experiences that connected students with real-world agricultural careers. Following her time in the classroom, she worked as an operations training manager for a large Controlled Environment Agriculture company, specializing in workforce development and employee training programs.

In her current role at Morehead State, Shelby is committed to equipping future agricultural educators with the skills and knowledge needed to build strong, engaging programs. She advises the Agriculture Education Society and supports agriculture teachers nationwide by developing high-quality classroom resources.

Outside of her professional work, she enjoys traveling, spending time at Cave Run Lake, and making memories with her family. She is a wife and mother of two and sometimes hosts exchange students, fostering cultural exchange and learning experiences at home.
