Bio

Dr. Stultz has been teaching since 1995. She taught 17 years in the K-12 setting before becoming a full-time university faculty member.

Dr. Stultz has teaching certifications in the following areas: (a) multi-subject general education (K-8), (b) Mild/Moderate Impairments (K-12), (c) Learning Disabilities (K-12), and (d) Behavioral Disorders (K-12). Her K-12 teaching experience included regular education (mathematics) and special education (multiple subjects and multiple disabilities) at various grade levels and in various settings. Dr. Stultz has extensive experience with self-contained and co-taught environments.

In addition to her K-12 experience, Dr. Stultz has taught undergraduate and graduate education classes at Marshall University and Morehead State University. Dr. Stultz is a tenured faculty member at Morehead State University, and she holds the title of Associate Professor.

During her career, Dr. Stultz has researched and published on various education-related topics including: (a) hiring practices by public and private school systems, (b) methods for teaching mathematics to students with disabilities, (c) methods for teaching reading and vocabulary to students with disabilities, (d) effective communication methods between teachers and adult learners, (e) using computer technology to improve student experience and performance, (f) inductive and deductive teaching strategies to increase student engagement, (g) effective online instructional design, and (h) effective quantitative research methods regarding various special education topics.

Dr. Stultz lives with her husband Scott (also Dr. Stultz) in Huntington, West Virginia. They are involved in various community and professional organizations within Kentucky, Virginia, and West Virginia.
