KFAC to host ‘Affecting Eternity: Works by Kentucky Art Educators’

Mamaw and Papaw by Shannon SheppherdMorehead State University’s Kentucky Folk Art Center has announced its upcoming exhibition, “Affecting Eternity: Works by Kentucky Art Educators.”  The exhibition will be on display in the museum’s Adkins Gallery through Saturday, March 10, when a closing reception will be held.

The exhibition includes nearly 50 works of art made by 18 public school art teachers from counties across Kentucky. The exhibition includes paintings, drawings, ceramics, metal sculpture, paper art and more. It is proudly displayed as a testament to these artists individual talents, but it should also serve as a reminder of the important work that they do with students. These works are made by the people who introduce Kentucky’s children to the wonders of the artistic world.  The exhibition was made possible in part with a grant from the LexArts/KU Arts in the Bluegrass Initiative.

Kentucky Folk Art Center is a cultural, educational and economic development service of MSU. The center is open Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
