MSU Board of Regents to hold quarterly meeting June 20

The Morehead State University Board of Regents will hold its quarterly meeting on Friday, June 20, at 9:30 a.m. in ADUC Room 329.

The agenda includes a wide range of approvals and reports. Items on the consent agenda include ratification of spring 2025 graduates, approval of personnel actions, academic promotions, recognition of faculty and staff, granting emeritus status, and updates to University policies and organizational structures.

The board will also consider naming proposals for athletic and campus facilities, an update to the University’s nondiscrimination statement, and a jurisdictional agreement between MSU Police and the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.

Additional action items include acceptance of third-quarter financials, adoption of the 2025-26 operating budget and personnel roster, and an increase in the scope for the Normal Hall capital project.

The meeting will also feature several presentations and informational reports. Topics include a draft of the University’s Facilities Master Plan, a cell tower easement update, a presentation from SGA President and Student Regent Brady Lawson (Class of 2025), enrollment data from Spring 2025, and updates on personal services contracts and retirement plans.

Following the public session, the board will enter a closed executive session under KRS 61.810(b) to discuss potential real estate transactions. No action will be taken during the closed session.

The meeting will conclude with the president’s annual evaluation, a self-evaluation of the board, a resolution honoring outgoing Student Regent Brady Lawson, and a financial disclosure signing by the president and board chair.
