MSU July ceramics course still has open spots

Morehead State University’s Department of Communication, Media, Art & Design is excited to announce that spots are still available for the July Summer Community Education Ceramics Course. This hands-on, creative experience is open to artists of all skill levels.

Taught by Instructor of Ceramics Quinn Maher, this five-week course offers participants the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of working on the potter’s wheel and basic hand-building techniques.

Whether you're a seasoned ceramicist or a complete beginner, this course provides a supportive and inspiring environment to explore the art of clay.

Course Details:

  • Location: Claypool-Young Ceramics Studio, MSU campus
  • Dates: Mondays and Wednesdays, July 7 – August 6
  • Time: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Cost: $250
  • Includes: 10 sessions over 5 weeks, studio instruction, materials, and access to MSU’s professional ceramics facilities

This community education course is ideal for those interested in developing their artistic skills, trying a new hobby, or enjoying a creative outlet in a collaborative setting. All materials are provided, and participants will complete multiple ceramic pieces to take home.

Class size is limited, so early registration is encouraged to reserve your spot.
