Morehead State opens new main entrance for fall term
Morehead State recently opened a redesigned main entrance, just in time to welcome students, faculty, and visitors for the start of the Fall 2025 semester.
The new entrance, located near the Adron Doran University Center (ADUC) marks a significant milestone in MSU’s ongoing campus enhancement initiative.
Strategically located at the heart of campus, the new main entrance serves as a vital connector between University Boulevard and Main Street, enhancing both accessibility and visibility for Morehead State University. This central placement not only improves traffic flow and pedestrian access but also creates a more unified and welcoming experience for students, families, and visitors arriving on campus.
Its proximity to key facilities like the Adron Doran University Center ensures that the entrance functions as a true gateway to the MSU experience.
“This new entrance is part of a larger planning effort to improve the campus edges and access points. It is more than just a physical gateway—it’s a symbol of our commitment to creating a welcoming environment for our entire campus community,” said Kim Oatman, chief facilities officer. “We’re excited for students and visitors to experience this new front door to the University, especially as it leads directly to ADUC and the Enrollment Welcome Center—where many begin their MSU journey.”
The entrance project broke ground in early 2024. Additional work is still underway, and the project is estimated to be completed on schedule thanks to the collaborative efforts of university planners, local contractors, and community stakeholders.
