Family Weekend welcomes students’ families and friends

Morehead State University will welcome family and friends of Eagle students for three days of activities centered around fun, connection, and school spirit during the annual Family Weekend.

MSU’s Family Weekend is Friday, Sept. 19, through Sunday, Sept. 21.

“Family Weekend is a great opportunity for parents to visit campus and see how their students are adjusting to college life,” said Russ Mast, vice president for student affairs. “We are one big Eagle Family, and we look forward to an exciting weekend.”

Melisa Patrick (Class of 1983), director of student activities and programs at MSU, said the University has planned a whole weekend of events on campus. In addition, the city of Morehead will have its annual Arts & Eats Festival on Saturday, Sept. 20, giving families visiting opportunities to explore the town that MSU Eagles call their home away from home.

“Family Weekend at MSU is our opportunity to celebrate the people who support our students,” Patrick said. “We hope you will step onto campus and visit the spots and meet the faces your student talks about so you can truly picture them thriving and enjoying life here.”
