MSU College of Education hosts regional education leaders
Morehead State University recently welcomed administrators and educational leaders across its service region for an Education Luncheon and Roundtable Discussion.
The event, sponsored by the Volgenau College of Education and the MSU Alumni Association, provided a meaningful opportunity for collaboration and dialogue focused on advancing education and student success throughout Eastern Kentucky.
The luncheon featured opening remarks from MSU leadership, followed by a dynamic roundtable discussion addressing key topics such as college and career readiness, dual-credit pathways, workforce development, strategies to increase postsecondary attainment, and improving pathways to become an educator.
“This event was a powerful reminder of the shared commitment we have across our region to support students and strengthen educational outcomes,” said Dr. Nicola Mason (Class of 2007), dean of the Volgenau College of Education. “By bringing together school leaders and University partners, we’re fostering meaningful collaboration that will help shape the future of learning in Eastern Kentucky and beyond.”
The event was part of MSU’s ongoing efforts to strengthen regional engagement and foster innovation in education. Participants shared insights, identified shared challenges, and explored collaborative solutions to better serve students and communities across the region.
