MSU Board of Regents to meet Oct. 17
The Morehead State University Board of Regents will hold its Homecoming meeting on Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, at 3 p.m. in Adron Doran University Center Room 329.
The meeting agenda includes a series of recommendations, recognitions and reports from University leadership.
As part of the consent agenda, the board will:
- Approve minutes from the Aug. 8, 2025, meeting
- Approve minutes and ratify personnel actions and summer graduates
- Approve new certificates and coaching contract
- Approve a resolution to rename Nickell Alley to University Boulevard
- Approve asset preservation projects, including renovations to the Camden-Carroll Library’s 3rd, 4th and 5th floors and exterior
- Approve the construction of a new campus pavilion
Additional recommendations include adoption of the Employee Compensation Plan, approval of the Facilities Master Plan, and ratification of the 2026–2028 biennial state budget request.
During the meeting, the board will also recognize members of the MSU community, including the Women’s Golf Team, Space Systems Engineering Instructor Nathan Fite (Class of 2011), and Director of Procurement Services Andrea Stone, J.D. (Class of 2008, 2011).
Following the open session, the board will enter a closed executive session under KRS 61.810(b) to discuss matters related to the acquisition or sale of real estate and under KRS 61.810(c) to discuss pending litigation. No action will be taken during the closed session.
After adjournment, the Ad-Hoc Bylaws Review Committee, comprised of Regents Craig Preece (Class of 1984), Rhonda Blackburn (Class of 1992), and Eric Howard (Class of 1981), will convene to review the Board of Regents Bylaws.
