MSU Theatre presents “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead”
The Morehead State University Theatre program invites audiences to experience Tom Stoppard’s “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead,” directed by The Little Company Director and Lecturer Octavia Biggs (Class of 1987).
Performances will be held at the Lucille Caudill Little Theatre Nov. 6–8 and 13–15 at 7:30 p.m., with matinee performances on Nov. 9 and 16 at 2 p.m.
Stoppard’s award-winning production offers a clever reimagining of Shakespeare’s “Hamlet,” retelling the story through the eyes of two of its most overlooked characters—Rosencrantz and Guildenstern.
As the pair stumble through the events of the original play, they grapple with questions of fate, free will, and the absurdity of existence. The result is a sharp, philosophical, and darkly funny exploration of what it means to search for meaning in a chaotic world.
