MSU helps students prepare with Registration Celebration
Morehead State University is celebrating helping students prepare for the Spring 2026 semester.
From 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13, on the first floor west of the Camden-Carroll Library, MSU students registered for the 2026 spring semester are invited to the Registration Celebration, an event created to keep them on the path to graduation.
Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss concerns with the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships, the Office of Accounting & Financial Services, the Center for Career Development & Experiential Education, and other relevant offices. Students should bring a copy or screenshot of their spring registration schedule. Advising staff will be available to help students who have not registered for classes upon arrival.
"I'm very excited for the upcoming Registration Celebration so that we can celebrate our amazing students who are gearing up for another semester at Morehead State," said Dr. Chris Schroeder, provost and executive vice president of academic affairs, "Our Retention and Advising team always does a great job of putting our students first and helping them achieve their academic goals, and this event is no exception."
Students who attend will automatically be entered into a raffle to win one of the several giveaways, including two $400 book scholarships, a $500 scholarship, or a special edition "Wicked" stuff-a-plush. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
"Our goal is that each semester gets our students closer to completing their degree and starting their career. That is why we get so excited about our Registration Celebration," said Michelle Barber (Class of 2005, 2010), director of academic advising and retention. "This event is a time when we get to celebrate this milestone with our students. We know that a lot of hard work goes into having a successful semester, and we want to applaud our students for pushing forward."
This semester's Registration Celebration was planned with the assistance from students in Instructor Randy Manis's (Class of 2006, 2008) Event Planning & Public Relations course.
