MSU named Employer of the Year by Chamber of Commerce
Morehead State University has been recognized as the Employer of the Year in the Large Business category by the Morehead-Rowan County Chamber of Commerce. This honor celebrates MSU’s commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture and contributing to the economic vitality of the region.
“We are proud to receive this recognition from the Chamber of Commerce,” said Morehead State President Dr. Jay Morgan. “Our faculty and staff are the heart of our institution, and this award reflects their dedication to creating an environment where innovation, collaboration, and student success thrive. We remain committed to being a leading employer in Eastern Kentucky and to serving our community with excellence.”
The award was presented during the Chamber’s annual awards ceremony, held on Tuesday, Nov. 11. The event honors businesses and individuals that demonstrate outstanding leadership and impact in the local community.

- Mikayla Martin (Class of 2021), assistant director of advancement events
