Morehead State Board of Regents to meet Feb. 13
The Morehead State University Board of Regents will meet on Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, Adron Doran University Center Room 329. The Audit Committee will meet at 9:30 a.m., and the board meets at 9:50 a.m.
The meeting begins with recognition of faculty, staff and students.
The agenda includes approval of:
- The minutes of the previous board meeting, audit committee meeting and Ad Hoc By-laws Committee meeting, and ratification of personnel actions and fall 2025 graduates.
- Naming an area of the Athletics complex as Prefontaine Park.
- Sidewalk improvements through asset preservation.
- Public Media Bridge Grant for Morehead State Public Radio.
The board will also approve acceptance of the audit report and related documents, the first quarter financial report and operating budget, and land acquisition and disposal of property.
The board will also hear reports on:
- Research and contracts
- Quality Enhancement Plan
- Performance metric
- Capital campaign and facility naming opportunities
- Plan for decommissioning Cartmell Hall
- President’s update on funding and legislative updates.
Following the meeting, the board will attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Veterinary Technology Facilities and dedication of the Equine Health Building in honor of Professor Emeritus Dr. Phil Prater. The ceremony is at 12:30 p.m. at the Derrickson Agricultural Complex.
