Morehead State Art and Design Spring Showcase returns
The 2026 MSU Art and Design Spring Showcase returns for its ninth year, highlighting student creativity and strengthening a long-standing partnership between Morehead State University and the Rowan County Arts Center.
Hosted at the Rowan County Arts Center, the annual juried exhibition features a diverse collection of artwork created by students in Morehead State’s Art and Design program. The showcase celebrates work across a wide range of media, including photography, sculpture, ceramics, graphic design, drawing and painting.
The exhibition is on display from through May 1, with gallery hours from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. A closing reception will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, with a juror talk and awards presentation at 4:30 p.m. RCAC is located at 205 E. Main Street.
In its ninth year, the Spring Showcase continues to provide students with opportunities to present their work in a professional setting while engaging with the community.
"This is an incredible opportunity for students to have their work seen by the broader Morehead and Rowan County communities. This exhibition, which is juried by faculty in Art and Design, offers students the practical experience of preparing their work for professional exhibition and gives students the opportunity to engage with audiences during key moments during the exhibition such as the artist reception," said Associate Professor of Photography and Digital Art Dr. Robyn Moore.
The Spring Showcase reflects Morehead State’s commitment to experiential education, giving students hands-on opportunities to develop their artistic practice while connecting with audiences beyond campus.
