Morehead State Nursing Program Ranked Kentucky’s Top Regional Program
As Morehead State University continues to help students soar higher through academic quality and student support, the University’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program has grown in both reputation and rankings.
In the newly released 2027 U.S. News & World Report rankings, MSU’s BSN program earned a spot on the Best Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program list and ranks as the top nursing program among Kentucky public regional universities in the South.
"Over the past year, the Department of Nursing faculty and staff have continued to strengthen student recruitment and retention, enhance learning experiences, and align our curriculum and clinical practice with the needs of the nursing profession,” said Dr. Teresa Ellett (Class of 1991), chair of the Department of Nursing. “These efforts, along with the hard work of our students, reflect the quality of our program and its successful outcomes.”
Morehead State’s nursing programs have also earned recognition from Colleges of Distinction as one of the Best Colleges in Nursing for multiple years.
“We are proud to contribute to increasing the nursing workforce by preparing highly skilled, compassionate, and practice-ready nurses," Ellett said.
Morehead State has earned recognition as a Top 25 university by U.S. News & World Report for the past decade and has ranked among the top regional universities in the South for more than 20 years. Morehead State provides services and resources to guide and support students through their college experience and is undergoing significant changes, including the construction of new facilities and residence halls, to meet students' needs.
